The portrayal of the other characters was fine but her REALLY screwed up the story for two MAJOR characters in this book. I was thoroughly disappointed in the performance for this reason. You can't completely change a character at the end of a series. Why did he all of a sudden have a southern accent?! Wtf?! And Roger make him AND Gabriel sound like COMPLETE idiots when they spoke! Roger Wayne should have at least listened to some of the preceding books to get an idea of who these characters really were because this almost completely ruined the book for me. I thought the portrayal of Tyler was great in the last book and Roger Wayne shot that all to hell. Another character that had a lot of involvement was Tyler. The book Secret, which was the installment directly preceding this one, revolved around the character Nick Merrick. Having already listened to the story of these characters, each has their own personality and were portrayed as such.
